Tyres

Hi Mick
If you are refering to 750-16 conventionals, there is also a Radial 7.50X16 R Light Truck in some brands or as lewy110 suggested.

Basically im trying to find out if i can stick 7.50 x 16 cross plys on my series one disco. its going to cover a lot of dirt road driving and some very long bitumen runs. i loved the old wheels on the series beast and would gladly go back to them. the discos running original steel rims.
Reasons are predominately, bang for buck. aggresive tread cheap tyre.

7.50 R16 = 190/100 R16 (roughly) = 31 inch diameter

As Lewy said, go the 235/85 16 (32 inch diameter)size, but you may need to do a liitle cutting or lifting on the disco

Series 1 Disco size 205/80 R 16 (29 inch diameter)

Could never understand why Landrover put such little diameter wheels on the discos, its a real PITA, when avergae diameter on most other 4x4 on market was 31 inch.

This site might help with the fitting.

http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/tires.html

Tyre sizes and how they fit.

Guide only dont take it as law
