Here are some more photos of yesterday's beach run. It was my first time on sand and I couldn't have asked for better conditions for it.
Thanks to Dave for suggesting the run and to all for another great day.
So Cheeky headed south, for a day trip on what may be the last beach where we are a free country where families can enjoy simple good times together
without having to obtain a permit to participate in a pleasant activity.
Cheeky was in a bit of a mood, she complained the whole way to Ballina that I had put a price on her head and it is not enough.
She soon sparked up when we arrived at the beach and meet up with friends
Cheeky had a chat with Tonic's Red Defender while all the humans had a play in the surf
It was then off to Evans Heads for fish and chips
After fighting our way to obtain food, turns out that Evans Heads gets very busy during the holidays, we headed north again stopping at a fresh water lake, that Cheeky's Grandfather knew about
On the way past the coffee rocks, some Rovers could not resist a play
Great day - Thanks for leading Dave

You guys should go for a burger or coffee/scones at Little Italy - just South of Ballina on the motorway. There's a museum of sorts depicting the settlement of some early Italians in Australia. I can really recommend the food there, plenty parking, restrooms.
Wow what a trip, this time dad didn't spend all his time driving around. I actually got to play with heaps of other kids and go to the beach every day with all the other families.
Back at camp there was always things to do. I was always invited to play with the other families or in the other kids games.
New years eve was a great, Wayne made me this transformer which I could wear on my head and transport myself to anywhere I wanted to go. Dad and Mum said at one stage they wanted it to transport me to bed, yer, like that's gunna happen.
And as if things couldn't get any better, I had my first holiday romance, can you believe it
I hope Mum and Dad take me back next year, it's great, grass to camp and play on, beach just up the road, heaps of kids, a swimming pool, ice blocks at the shop.
Have a great 2014 people, Jack.

Thanks to everyone who joined us at South Ballina Beach.
There was a great turn out for this trip, and from all accounts everyone had a great time.
The camping area was very suitable, with lush grassed area, and tucked away enough from passing traffic and fellow campers.
With the river and surf beach only minutes away, set the scene for a great relaxing week away.
For those who have not been to this area, it has one of the only beaches on the east coast
where we do not have mass cars, & beach permits are not required.
We ended up with nearly 50 people for New Years.
We had a huge fire, music blaring, and a great bunch of people to bring in 2014.
I have not done an all nighter for years, however l managed to do so along with some others.
Some certainly were a bit under the weather to say the least.
Sun, Surf, Fishing, Camping, Drinking, and just chillin made this trip a real success.
If you have not got anything planned for 2014 around the same time, pencil this trip into your calendar.
It is one not to be missed !!![]()
