    Replacement front floor?

The front floor (footwells) on both sides of my 1995 Tdi 130 are ratty, largely I suspect due to 'insulation' which held water like a sponge.

At any rate I think it needs replacing.

Presumably this would only be a matter of removing existing ones, using those as a template, and cutting some new ones out of....

    Alloy ? Steel ? Flat ? Chequerplate? Thickness ?

    Thanks for your input.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

If it is the floor, between seat base and footwell, it is alloy and bolts in place. I suspect you mean the footwell itself which is part of the bulkhead. If only the inner skin, then easy enough to fix, you can even buy the sections from the UK. If it is also the ribbed outer skin, that will be more work.

I got my repair sections from the UK for like $50 or something per side. I wasn't confident in my ability so got a panel beater to do it for me, $800 lighter and it looks no different to the factory. I know if I had done it it would have looked terrible.
