    Hi,

Does anyone know a Peter Speck, owning a 1948 Series 1, in NSW?
I got a call and he wants to buy my S1 over the phone. Sounds OK, but still I am a bit hesitant due to the amount of scams happening.

    Carefully

Be aware of scammers who want to buy without looking there is a website that explains what they do to try and rip you off you can google scams to find it. They are clever my son in law got one last week in a Sydney trying to buy his Mazda 2 . They are trawling for the less intelligent consumer.

I usually say "payment in cash" or "cheque". Vehicle will not be released until funds are cleared.
When they ask for "paypal", I just say "I'm not setting up a paypal account.
If sus, best not to have a sale. If genuine, the buyer will get in contact with you and talk about what can be done.

On the other hand, if all seems safe, no reason not to. I bought mine sight unseen from another country and it worked out great.
