so whats the go were they all driving LRs and RRs or were the other brands supported also????
and if so where did they come in???
Good to see Rangies showing how its done. Not trying to be picky but the OBC is actually run between Broken Hill and Menindee. I live 5 Minutes out of Mildura but alas did not have the time for the three hour trip to Broken Hill to watch the start. :x Next year. Thanks for the results HSVRangie as i had not heard a thing down here as to who was winning.
Gaz.
Any make of car allowed...
Most this year were in GQ Patrols, some rangies, toys etc..
Internation competitors French, NZ and South Africa??? Alaska???
NZ did very well!
Would love to and see it one year, top event!

It's run in four areas; Broken Hill, Nundooka/Velt, Denian and Poolamacca.Originally posted by Gaz69

Any 4WD can enter, provided it meets the safety criteria like a roll cage and four-point harness. In the 2004 comp there were mostly GQ Patrols, some GUs, lots of Rangies, three 80 Series, a couple of Zooks, one Vitara, a couple of Hiluxes, a couple of Wranglers and a Bush Rangie. Modifications varied from almost nothing (touring class) to lightweight body panels and big V8 engines.Originally posted by roby02

Good country up there, I spent 5 years up there between Menindee and Wilcania wiring up station properties with my father and Denian was one of the them!!!! Bloody dry up there at the moment but when it rains you can not go very far especially on the east side of the darling, unless you have a Rover of some sort!!!!
