:? yes it is a GREAT find , so great in fact i dont want to dissassemble it just get another one and rebuild number two, all the panels are soooooo straight, just not ex-mil so it may end up as some sort of transmogrification, thats something i like doing!a hodge podge of bits and pieces!!! 8) hmmmmmmm, a 351 cleveland sounds nice , witha split two inch system...............drool city!!!!!!

THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICS

Sounds like a great score with some good bits. Although it sounds like you would be better off finishing the other one than doing up the current one almost

great bargin, i'd love a good cheap donor (I coulld do with a straight front right wing ops: ). No space for one unfortunately, but then again, we have to sell a car as it is at the moment (no, not the landy)

So how do you put a Cleveland into a Landrover? do you use the original gearbox? if you use an auto where do you mount the transfer case?

 yes windsors may be better,i have fond memories of an xr fairmont with a 289 that hauled ass! but was figuring on the cleveland for the longer stroke for better grunt down low, correct me please if i am wrong!
have seen it done many years ago when doing my apprentice mech. ,the bosses old man had a shorty with a 351 "shoehorned "in with a bonnet extension and rad. panel moved forward to line up with the front of the guards.the split exhaust spat like a dragon on cold winter morns!! 8O
