Price of Petrol

Just filled my pride and joy up from empty, that's 90 liters. Now for the bit that realy hurts, 96 octane is $1.29 per liter

and 91 is not much better, $1.24

Diesel is around $0.80 a liter, Im not exactly sure as by the time I read to the bottom of the sign my vision is blurred(tears )

Just wondering what the prices are like in the different states ???????

I can tell you that its $1.19 for full strength in Burketown.
You could run it on beer for less.
cheers

price of petrol

Hi Medic
Well the prices in Qld are subsidised by the state govt to the tune of 8cents a ltre so that eases it a bit, currently at my local shell unleaded (91oct) is 95.5 was 98.9 on Sat morning, Super unleaded is normally 6cents dearer, the prices vary, down on Monday-Tuesday then up we go Wed, Thurs, Friday ,Sat ,particualy in the city or large towns, I run my 2a GS on unleaded, no additive, and the head lasted 6years before it burnt a valve, or you could use an additive like "Wynns Valve Guard" 8) Before this latest maddness prices were as low as 82.5 Ltre. Cheers

Unleaded is 105.9 here at the moment, although it has been fluctuating a bit recently. Makes the 4c discount dockets worthwile I tell you.

Uk prices are worse from what I hear though

OMG!!!

(this is what happens when you live in the 'north Shore' in Sydney = a bit more expensive than other places in NSW)

But,

I HAD TO (i had left it to the very last drop - then had no choice but to get $5 worth at the local where i was)

it was 'premium'=98% - so a bit more expensive than normal unleaded anyways....but.....

a WHOPING $1.09 per ltr!!!!!!

i could not believe it!!! - and that teaches me a lesson about getting petrol when it is needed and you have got time to make a choice as to which 'cheaper' service station you can get to!

OUCH!! - it really hurt the hip pocket on that one!!

I can be smug. Not only do I have a Defender that delicately sips fuel rather than take big greedy gulps, I have 140L of capacity so I fill up outside peak times and then drive through the high prices for a while!

Made 1100km using 130l, including two intensive offroad days and lots of city driving.

Quite a difference to the petrol Pajero!

Oh yes, the cheap antipodean fuel
Out here (Switzerland) and surrounding Europe (EU) the prices are close to AU$2 per litre. When you start paying 60 odd Euro for a tankfull you begin to wonder...
