ian, you need to unclip/ move that loom a bit, and yes i use a deep reach 3/8" drive socket and extension. i guess you are talking about the top right one??

Hello,
Was trying to remove the TPS on my TD5 today there were a few problems as getting the thing off..... with the two nuts what are the tricks to get these off..... one is fairly simple but the second one there is a plastic part of the wiring loom right in the way and after about a hour of more I gave up on it so anyone taken one off as I was ready to plasma cut it out.....Does a 10 mm socket fit it ??

I forgot to mention to you that getting the pedal off is a bitch!
As JC said use deep sockets and move the loom. They can be very tight. I also found using a long extension to guide the bolt out then back in helped.
