Hi Bea-utey, I went to an lpg component supplier to pick up some 6mm id vapour hose and wanted some 10mm hose to feed the injectors.
The 6mm wasn't a problem, but 10 mm I was told is not used it should be 12mm. I was sure my hose was 10 mm, but took it them being experts, so I purchased some 12mm only to get home and it's too big in I.D.

I also wanted some 4mm hose but was told they don't carry it.
The 4 mm hose comes from the end of the injector and goes to the pressure sensor. I changed the barb to a 6mm id, how critical is it having to be 4mm, will 6 mm not work ? it is a case of pressure loss as it is feeding into a larger space?

10mm is used on a range of Italian injection systems, try a different "expert". Yours is "ignorant" ...

As for 4mm:

Don't try to fit 6mm hose onto 4mm fittings, it'll leak all the earlier. There's no actual flow in the 4mm hose, you don't get a pressure loss without flow. The small hose is useful for damping pressure variation so only an average signal goes to the pressure sensor. It may possibly make no difference but why not do it the way it was fitted?

I moved all the plumbing to above the plenum. The vapour hoses connect to jets that were fitted next to the petrol injectors on the lower intake manifold.
I was thinking of drilling through the webbing and feed the vapour hoses through, but took the easy was out and fed the vapour hoses via each end of the plenum. Reading thre Zavoli install manual it state to keep the vapour hose length no longer than 150mm.
It is currently running but not super smooth, I think the vapour hoses may be a tad longer. When My diagnostic euipment arrives form the UK, do you think I can tune it to variances in hose length?.

Short answer: no. The hoses should all be of a similar length and not kinked off anywhere by sharp bends. There is only the tuning ability to vary the gas delivery by selecting the injection to run in 2 banks and adjusting the difference in %. You could theoretically drill out the injector jets for the longer hoses but you'd have no way of going back if you made a mistake.

I had a client call around and he had an injection system where the fitter had drilled and fitted the jets into the bend on the "banana" then had short hoses coming from the injector rail to the jets. it looked neat and I have driven it and it seemed to perform ok.
If I was to go and do this then I would have to fit plugs into the previous jet holes. I looked at drilling through the webbing, but I didn't think I would gain much in shortening the lines. Its these damn pan injectors separated by hose barbs, hose and clamps which spreads everything further apart. With the price of some new uk kits with rail injectors etc, I'm almost temped to bite the bullet. As I have seaid earlier the existing system has some deteriorated wiring from the injectors.
