Having owned several cars, also other 4x4 with sunroofs, I've come up to the conclusion that there has been minimal R&D gone into the defender sunroof.
I have a habit of driving with the sunroof open for air flow, however in the deefer, this is not recommended.
I ended up with a bucket load of water on me when I braked while parking the car.
A strip or some drainage near the opening would have been a good idea.

We don't have a sunroof but I like the way you get a nice windscreen wash on first application of the brakes following rain in a Defender, I guess this is the same couple of litres of water you enjoy in the cabin with a sunroof?
MY13 Defender 90 LE "George"
Webasto sunroof should be leak-free.
My 2010 D90 sun roof never lets a drop in (unless I leave it open).
Same here Karl, my 2008 SVX's sun roof has never leaked.
I think turbo6 issue has nothing to do with water leaks but the fact that the roof retains water after rain and soon as you drive or brake the water runs down the roof and windscreen. Offcourse we all know the defender is well known for other water leaks into foot wells etc.

The wash you get after breaking for the first time after rain is the bucket load I got on my head..... next time I will have to record it and get a friend to park it for me heheh
