    07 D3 loss of power.

    My uncles diesel D3 has on four occasions today simply lost power while driving.
    A number of lights turn up on the dash. The engine still runs but there is no power the car just slowly losses speed until you are just barely moving (10km/h)

    This is the dash when the power issue is present;

    I told him to burn it but I guess my advice may not be as good as others. So if any one can point us in the direction to resolve this issue it would be much appreciated!

    It's got another issue of the low speed shudder which I beleive is related to the auto needing a service.

    Does he get a flurry of bongs from the dash, and lots of errors showing up in the "information centre"?

    Has he had a code reader on it?

    Not sure but the fault is not constant. It happened once previously and never again until today.

    The dash shows numerous extra warnings. as per the image.
    No code reader on it as yet.

    Argh! ...well that's the problem D3's always like to look their best so its stopping as a protest. Its simple just wash it and it will be fine. ...

    The battery could also be a factor.

    Come to think of it, I also had this when the dealer installed the steering wheel sensor 180 degrees out. On motorway at 110 km/h and then it does and drops to access height... not pleasant!
