Order placed now the waiting game

Very excited to have placed an order today for my first Disco. Having been a big fan since the release of the D3, a Disco has been on my bucket list for some time. In September, it'll finally become reality.

So, I've ordered a Scotia Grey TDV6 with almond interior and the following options.

    7 seats
    Leather
    High line audio
    Reverse camera
    Front parking aid
    Rear e-diff
    Xenon headlights
    Rear air con
    Short roof rails
Upgrade to 19" style 703 rims

I also plan to have Sneigy install a Redarc brake controller, Redarc isolator, Anderson plug in the rear towing cubby panel and an LED trailer module.

Expected delivery date is September at the moment. Can't wait to get the vin/engine number and start tracking it

    Now... the wait begins

Good work mate sounds like it will be a cracker car!! The wait is the biggest pain but I guess getting the exact car you want it's very worth it!! You'll love the D4 they are just the best car going just do everything you want with versatility and practicality. Can't beat them

    Thanks Nat_89, I can't wait.

Tossed up for ages whether to get an SE or a TDV6 with all of the options I wanted. In the end, after driving the TDV6, it has plenty of grunt and the savings over a similarly spec'd SE were enormous.

    Hi Disco fan,

Congratulations on the purchase - they are great cars to own.

With the D4 you shouldn't need a LED trailer module. Unlike the D3 the D4 has LED lights on the actual car and so it is sensitive enough to detect a trailer with LED lights. No need to spend an extra $200.....

No, still need the LED module, unless the MY14 is different to my MY13.

    Been there, done that

Your exactly right the differences are so tiny its hardly noticeable I'm guessing it would be the same as when you go to an electrical shop and see all the TVs sitting there and your like wow that $6000 one has so much better picture than the $2000 one but when you get home you don't even notice the difference!!

But it doesn't matter mate she's still a D4 and they are just a magic car that you won't even notice the difference and you'll love it as much as every other D4 owner does haha they are just a great car!!

I love it when the new guys rave about their cars! Always reminds me of when I picked mine up!
    Cheers,

Watched 'Toscana' the cargo vessel carrying mine being escorted up the Yarra and docking last night. Vessel has left the port, so must be unloaded onto Aussie soil - not long now!

Mine was unloaded on the dock at Port Kembla on the 11th, with the dealer saying they should have it by the 21st of May, but I just happened to drive past the dealer tonight @ 5.30 & what do you know, there it was parked in their pre delivery area, dusty & covered in that white plastic stuff on the bodywork, but it looked beautiful.

It's going to be long wait until Saturday when we pick it up. Now the excitement is really start to ramp up
