S1 1955 restoration complete (or at least slowed down)

I have been working on my 1955 S1 for the past two years or so and finally have it on the road and working more or less how I think it should. Hard to say it is "done" but it is doing pretty well.

I have spent a lot of time on this site looking up good advice and wanted to show you the results. I have posted some before and after pics below -- hundreds more are available.

I will also post a few lessons learned (in a separate thread) for those foolish enough to try something like this with as little knowledge as I had starting out.

    Cheers, Jim

You should feel very proud. That is a very nice restoration. I hope to see it around Canberra.

When people like the master (Dinty) say its top work you should be immensely proud.

You had a good starting point but the finish is all class well done its beautiful!
