    spotted a Perentie today !!

    Very rare sight apparently !!



    about 50km north of Newman near Hickman Crater, which by the way I'll put up as one of the top places I've ever been.

    Good looking specimen! When I was a young'n, working with a drilling crew In the western deserts of wa, we would see a few, wandering close enough to the rig to see the ticks hanging off them. They are as quick as when they get the wind up them! :-)
