Ludwig Leichardt, 1844/45 Moreton Bay to Port Essington, his journal

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Terrific repository of early Australian history. I often think it would be perfect for planning a remote trip, to perhaps follow one of the old explorers tracks, as far as possible, Bob

I have read a lot of ebooks from the Adelaiade website. Currently have Ludwig's Journal on Ipad along with John Oxley & Marco Polo.

Lots of Burke & Wills stuff @ Burke & Wills Web: the online digital research archive of expedition records - www.burkeandwills.net.au

I got, get all my journals from Kessinger Publishing.

I would really like to follow in the footsteps of David Carnegie in WA.
His was a most interesting Journal. I would like to have met the Bloke.
What a waste, he was killed in Africa at the age of 29.

PS: Do it in Me Disco or with camels.

Have the camels pull the disco, save fuel, & travel at a civilised pace,
    Bob

Shut the windows, cut a hole in the roof, set up a pulley system for steering, sit on the roof rack.[ in a comfy chair] Have the fridge beside you, just in front of the solar panels, charging the second battery. Have a canopy over you , like the Maharajas, works for me, Bob

Leichardt's story is very interesting. I've read a few books about him. Unsolved mystery of where he and his team disappeared to.
Was interesting the way they had to take a whole team of animals for food, unlike Sturt who lived off the land.

Sent from my D1 using overweight hamsters.
