    Anti-slip paint

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with anti-skid paint. I'm thinking of using it on my chequer plate/tube side steps. I've got some anti-skid stick on tape on the tube, but obviously that won't work for the plate section.

Would it be effective, and how long would it last?

I would suggest you look at marine anti-slip finishes, they have been around for a long time and are effective for many years on boat decks. Probably expensive tho'

Not sure if its the same stuff as AM is referring to, but in the past I've used a marine product (Epiglass ??) that you mixed with paint, and it expands slightly as it cures. Gave a nice grippy surface in the bottom of sailing dinghy's without being like the sandpaper style of grip tape.
