    Perentie Seat Headrests

Does anyone know if there is a special dance you need to do to remove the headrests in a GS Perentie?
I've tried a little brute force to no avail, and I can't see anything to push in or pull out, so I was wondering if I am missing anything?
I want to put my new seat covers on!

    Hi,

Brute force is the answer, they are held in by retaining spring clips on the end of the steel rods, be careful not to pull the foam head rest off the steel rods/uprights.

Probably the clips are rusted on as they wouldn't have been taken off for a very long time.

    cheers

Scott, you were dead right. I checked the RPS and saw the spring. A small hit of RP7 and a solid tug, and they came off.
Then I realised I didn't have to remove them as the covers had a big hole in the top to fit over them
Anyway, all now done and looks good.
The new soft top goes on over the weekend.

At least yours has head rests! Mine doesn't have them, apart from that I find the seats very. comfortable on long journeys.

    Thanks Scott and Jeepster!

I don't seem to have access to that part of the REMLR forum or the link is bad.

I'll go over there and have a look around and see what I can find.

    Cheers,
    JRW
