    RFSV Side Bars differences

    Hi All,

Just wondering which of the RFSV brush bars came first - the one one with the longer bars back to the b pillar or the one that stops in front of the doors just behind the front wheel arch. Keen to understand the differences and also if there was any reason behind the change in side rail lengths?

    Cheers,

    Matt

Hi The side rail is in two pieces, one over the wheel arch the next below door to "B" pillar. the rail below the door bolts onto tab on the back of the first rail and is designed for when the door is off and anothe rail bolts onto the tab half way along (you can see it in the picture) and bolted to the top door hinge - a spare wheel was then bolted to this.

some wheel arch rails don't have the tab and thus you cant attached the second rail.

    hopefully the photo helps

Cheers Scott - I thought they might be a two piece but couldn't find a photo to prove it.

Hoping for some help here. Just fitted an early RFSV bar to my perentie. I also have the side brush bars but the mounting points aren't on my survey van. Does anyone have a photo of how these are installed on an RFSV. They clearly connect to the chassis outriggers behind the front wheels but I'd like to know how.

    Thanks!

HI, yep you've worked it out, they bolt up into the outriggers, you will need to drill two holes each side, you can get your hand up into the outrigger to hold the nut.

Sorry don't have a photo, but I did the same as you and fitted one to mine.

    regards
    Scott
