Thumbs down Geolandar Ht-S poor wear

I have just worn out my Geo HT-S in 255x60x18. I was after a highway pattern and these were good except for wear characteristics. Only 35,000km and scrubbing on front left (due to roundabouts I am told). I have tried their ATS in 265x60x18 this time as the deal was too good (buy 3 get 4th free). I placed a review on the Yokohama web site but they don't appear to have put it up.

I've done about 30k on the ATS to date with good wear. Very happy with them.

The D4 doesn't seem to need regular wheel alignments like the D3 did. I learned the hard way that a wheel alignment at every service was a must.

Orange doesn't have that many round abouts, sounds like the tyre guys are telling porkies, 35k is pretty poor.
    Cheers,

The streets paralleling the main street are chock a block with roundabouts (about 15) in a square km. I also have a couple of off camber corners on the run into town and our road isn't the best (what a surprise!).

Have about 35k on ATs, rotate all 5 approx 10-12k, plus align. As a consequence all have minor scrubbing on edge, but tyre as a whole pretty good. Problem is finding places that know what they are doing for alignments

Short tyre life is a sign of poor alignment and/or worn suspension parts. I got 28,000km out of the first set of Goodyear Wranglers on my MY07 D3 from new. Since then, LR redesigned the lower ball joint (beefier in D4) and wear was better after that. I now have 88,000km on my MY11 D4 - and still on my original Goodyear Wranglers (same size as on my D3) with about 5mm tread left. Mind you, I have also done probably 30,000 km of that on my offroad tyres that I change to when touring or 4WDing.
