    Johannes

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.

Acoustic cover over the engine, I think it was introduced with the 300 Tdi.

Cheers all for the quick reply! Massive help! I've just bought a 98 110 wagon with 198000 on the clock. It needs a bit of a tidy up. I just wanted the 300tdi because of the allisport turbos etc.

Not only that, the engine is further forward and the turbo is low mount (200tdi turbo is high mount in a defender).

200tdi dip stick goes out on the side where 300 comes up to the front

Aux drive belt, thermostat housing and fan cowling are all different too.

The biggest give away however is the drive belt. 200Tdi's use a V belt where's 300Tdi's use a Flat Multi-V belt.
