    Wheel offsets

Hi all, I am looking at a set of 20" rims for the d4.
My question is, will an OFfset of +45 fit with a 275/55/20 tyre?

I think the standard offset is + 53

I don't know about 20" rims, but 17" rims with + 45 fits, I had BMW rims on my D4(2.7L) for a while.

The width of the tyre will be OK with that offset. The problem could be the diameter as 275/55/20 is pretty big and will rub according to Gordon. Apparently you can modify the wheel wells to minimise this.

It would be great if you could try them as they are a good size with a few tyres available, I'm just not game to be the guinea pig.

That's my issue. I don't mind making a decision when informed, but guinea pig I am not

I though the modification was only required on the 285's? Gordon, are you able to clarify at all? Also in the offset?

I can confirm it will rub, I just remembered Discowhite on this forum, had 275s on 18s and they rubbed on the standard offset, so I would imagine the mod would need to be done to the wheel well with that size, you're right on the limit of rolling diameter that fits in the wheel well, at 31.9", even with the extra offset I'd say it will still rub.

So I guess if I dropped to a 265/50/20 it might work? Are the rang tyres in this size?

OK I got this quote from the picture thread in this section, this vehicle is a RRS

From the additional fuse block I run the accessories, Shuroo, LED driving lights, roof rack light, additional front camera etc. Wanted to keep all my additions completely separate from the LR loom. Xenons are fine, but the LED is better!

Cheers that looks promising. I'll track down the person that posted and ask for more details
