LR Genuine rear rubber floor mat - Puma 90

I was gifted a Genuine land rover rubber floor mat from my old man, Interested to hear from others who have these installed.

I got mine out of its packaging, and a little disappointed with its finish. Going by ebay prices, these things are rather pricy (especially for what they are), so looking to see if I should seek a refund, or whether that's 'just the way they are'

    1) It is about 50mm too short in width (wheel arch to wheel arch). Were older model defenders narrower in this dimension?

    2) Is this designed to be installed under the rear seat hinge mech bolted to the floor, or cut to accommodate? (unlike the one pictured below, mine is not cut out around these parts)

Going by memory, part number is LR2800005614

Am I being unreasonable? As a genuine land rover part, I'd expect it to be good 'out of the box' - especially given the width.

Below is a pic of the equivalent mat for the 110.

Must admit I agree with you. We bought one aswell and its a bit dubious in terms of fitment.

There are 2 different types, one if you have rear seats, one if you don't. It sounds like you have the one for the hard top as opposed to station wagon.

Ours is also too narrow. It really should be better for the amount they cost.

So the hard top is the 'panel van' style with no rear windows? And the hard top is not fitted with rear fold down seats?

The dealer (Newcastle) was supplied with my VIN number, so I'm hoping they didn't make such a rookie mistake.
I do recall my old man saying there was only one in the country, and it had to get shipped from Melbourne.

I use the term hard top as in a van. nothing in the rear.

Duckworth parts site will give you the relevant part numbers:

:: Duckworth Land Rover Defender Interior Protection

    LR005614 is the van
    LR005615 is the station wagon

    That makes sense then. Thanks.

How are your mats for width?

Grabbed some pics now for you.

The mat is centred exactly in the close up so you can see the gap each side:
