    Easy lift for bonnet spare

    Yep that's what I need!!
Geriatric bones etc. Can't get enough oomph to lift high enough to engage scissor lock.Dont like the prop about a foot up to check oils etc as dangerous if slip.
Still spare on bonnet still good as can get there by using maxtrax as inclined ladder and then just flip up on bonnet.Need to be totally self sufficient as travel many k's alone
Any bright ideas for lifting bonnet.Portable air strut?Stronger gas struts under bonnet.Only use when extra spare needed and can get it up and down alone from bonnet.ok.
Your collective brains gentlemen can surely provide a simple solution.
    Thanks,
    Mary

    Yeah it's a handful......

    Remove your front bar??

Maybe I put too much trust in what's under the bonnet.......I generally only pop it when it's service time.

Be interested if somebody has fitted gas struts

    Thanks Weeds
but when in the boondocks good policy to check daily.Recent sessions with the physio and regular exercise sessions haven't restored muscle strength.Need to be able to lift bonnet with relative ease for daily checks Hence has anyone used a air ram?

Weeds the links are all broken to Phils posts so no pictures..

I dont know where he got them from but have a chat to Mulgo no doubt it's something Daniel can throw together in a kit and at no doubt a reasonable price

I just brought some gas struts today for work.......I was quite surprised how affordable they were. $68ea and they were longer than discowhites as well as more pressure so I'm guessing the size required would be cheaper again, extra pressure doesn't cost anything as they make them to your requirements.
