Welcome to the forum.

Pop on over to REMLR and say gidday there.
Hello everyone, I have been lurking around this forum since I spotted Hank two weeks ago on TradeMe and wanted to find out more about him. I know this is an Aus site and I'm from NZ, but it has such a wealth of information and knowledge that can't be found in NZ, same with REMLR.
After finally purchasing him and picking him up on Friday night, registered Saturday morning, and out for a drive this morning, here I am.
Hank is a little rough around the edges, paint is faded and most rubber bits are deteriorated, he is noisy, vibrates a lot at idle and leaks in places I haven't found yet, but he is SO AWESOME! I LOVE THIS TRUCK!
Hank before I bought him.

Hank with a friend, on the beach.
So the story goes, Greys brought Hank over (with a few soft tops) to New Zealand in January, and Auctioned them off in February. Supposedly they didn't sell well and they aren't going to do it again (feel free to add details or fill in the Gaps).
So essentially, I have the only hard top Aus-Army GS Perentie in the Country, for the foreseeable future
A few things I would like to do with Hank are:
-Find the Jerry cans, pick axe head, fire extinguisher, headrest and a few other things missing.
-Bigger wheels
-Standard tow ball
-Maybe power steering if the bigger wheels are too hard to turn
-Winch, probably electric, PTOs seem to be pricey and hard to come by.
-Turbo (way down the road)
-Unfortunately part of the agreement of procuring Hank is that he has to be painted black(hopefully I can at least talk her around to Olive Drab, if not, Matt Black)
Did I miss anything?
-BadCo.

Welcome and a great looking vehicle! I'm a little jealous.![]()
G'day, can you please explain the "arrangement" they made you sign that you have to have Hank black and cannot keep him camo?
Is this due to the NZ army having similar vehicles?
Cheers AIF.
Mick Marsh was correct, higher Authority indeed. One word. Fiance.
Unfortunately I hate rugby and the All Blacks with a passion, but that is a discussion for another thread.
And yeah, the number plate is neat. I'll have to get me a Lee Enfield mounted on the back window haha.
Just back from the loo from throwing up. Can't believe one of the only 38 made is being turned into an "all black" to apppease a missus.
You could have bought a county for that. But after all it is yours and in 20yrs time if it's still alive some collector may find and restore it. Good luck and enjoy Hank.
Paint it Olive Drab. Restore it to "As Delivered".
