    Stainless Wheel Nuts

Any ideas if there are any blind stainless wheel nuts that would fit in place of the originals? I think mine have been over tightened a good few times and I may as well replace them with something tidier, if I can.

I had some nuts made for another car I have some time ago. A fellow nearby who runs a small engineering shop got some hex stock the required size and machined them up.

Hmmm, I have this little lathe, The total stock won't pass through but chunks would sit in the chuck. The sons girlfriends dad sells tooling. If I can borrow the tap then I think I may as well make them myself.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405175384.851445.jpg

Blind nuts solve the seizure problem which is why we use them on big powerboat trailers. I've got 36 on one trailer and never had a problem spinning them off by hand, once there cracked.

Fair call. Just not sure of the insurance logistics of stainless nuts.
