two different styles of distributor caps?

    Hi all

I ordered a new distributor cap and rotor for my standard 186 distributor. When it arrived in the mail the other day, i was a little shocked to see it was the style with the male type fitting ie, similar to a spark plug end.

    This is what I got:

    [ame]http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DISTRIBUTOR-CAP-GB829-ROTOR-BUTTON-GB827-HOLDEN-6-CYLINDER-149-161-179-186-202-/201125642639?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item 2ed405c18f&_uhb=1[/ame]

The only down side to this that I can see is that the ignition lead end caps are a little "fat" and will not provide a tight seal.

Is this ok to use or should i return it and get and other style of cap with female fittings like this:

    Thanks
    Andrew

Either style is fine, but you have to have the spark plug leads to suit.
