No Brake lts/Hazards etc on Auto H/Lts + Long Hard Reset

So at 11 days old (700kms) I get a 'can't find key fob' message. I expected this at some stage, just not at 11 days old or before I got a diagnostics tool.
Do the under column procedure and get her started, but no cabin electrics and a camera system fault message. Several start attempts with different fault messages occurring at random (HDC, ESP, Suspension, Speed Limited) where I could not lock/unlock after turning off and had to find key fob each start. So I'm left with no speedo, tacho, stereo, a/c, windows, not even brake lights, blinkers and worst of all no Hazard Lights.

I rang the dealer and told them there's no way it was going on a truck and I was going to do a hard reset. Told him I was going to disconnect battery leads and short together as I have read on here. He suggested they usually disconnect and leave for an hour to drain residual voltages and then re-connect.

So I disconnected and shorted the leads first, reconnecting with no result. Then I tried the dealers suggestion leaving disconnected for an hour and when I reconnected all was back to normal. Yay... Until I switched it off to pack up (big mistake) and back came all the faults and issues. I cautiously drove into town without brake lights, blinkers or hazards, keeping as much distance between myself and other traffic. When I got to the dealer he noticed that as he drove into the darker workshop the headlights came on.

Found out that under this fault condition, with the headlight switch in auto no lights worked in daylight, but turning them to manual on and all brake lights, blinkers and hazards worked fine. Sleeping at the dealer tonight with a BCM issue the main issue - software glitch.

    BCM being replaced

D4 had a good sleepover. Got it back next afternoon after BCM re-flashed and gateway re-calibrated. Not sure yet exactly what the gateway is, but I assume it is a communications node that allows the BCM to talk to the other modules. Anyway drive 500mr to work and then on the way home 500mr right outside the dealer (closed) and everything went dead again. Still had hazards, blinkers, brake lights, although I didn't know until 10 minutes later when two people to at traffic lights told me. The dash was dead again, not even a noise from the flasher unit. So take it back the next morning and dealer has arranged for the BCM to be replaced. I asked to swap it out with one they had on the lot for a weekend trial, which they were quite willing to do, but turns out they are VIN locked. There is a one new BCM available in Australia which is being air bagged up. Probably won't get it back till Wednesday next week. Dealer service and sales are very sympathetic and have prioritised the work each time. Glad I bought local, might be a different story had I not.
Llams kit arrived, just wish I had a car to install it! Good looking bit of kit Graeme. Prospeed rock sliders on order.

Yes Baz, I am very satisfied that I bought from them (local). The salesperson said yesterday that at a seminar she went to recently, a lot of dealers praised the support from LRA. I questioned this, as we have heard of some harsh dealings on here, but she reasserted that this was the overwhelming response and in her twenty years of experience had herself a few exceptional circumstances where LRA's support was nothing but proactive. I think that other thread needs this put into it, although it may not be any comfort to the OP, it may for other readers.
