    Landline ABC 12noon today....should watch.

This is one of the largest companies in the world.

Note that they have a very positive approach to both climate change and carbon emissions.

No deniers here.....they cannot afford to be with a bigger budget to control than Australia's economy.
Agricultural giant Olam International says climate change is 'absolutely a reality' - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

He was on a an A-PAC broadcast a few months ago and Is a good to listen too. 3 senior spokesman offering selective opinions on self help with Africa.

very good if you can find it on line.

At the time he was talking about planning for migration and natural climate change. The climate changes people migrate. not people change the climate to stop migration.

Mate, Upon your recommendation I watched the program, & I found it interesting.
But that is not actually what he said.
He actually did compliment our productivity with respect to the cotton industry, & said we were going pretty well in other areas as well, and that because of food shortages in India & China, there would appear to be some pretty good opportunities for some of our rural/food producing industries.

No blinkers mate, NO blinkers at all,.... Just an accurate comment as to what he ACTUALLY said, in relation to what you said he would say,...which he did not say.
I also note, and also what I was actually expecting, in view of your "O.P.", there was no mention of what his country, and China, were doing with respect to the matter that obviously concerns you so much?....And, to be honest, I have no issue with your concern,....only how it will be resolved on a WORLDWIDE BASIS, where something could be achieved, not on a ridiculously small individual basis, where a contribution of only .5% is made, where these measures would've crucified many in Aus, with absolutely no measurable improvement to...Global Warming.
A good discussion hurts nobody. Pickles.

I listened to Sunny Verghese in many occasions he is a realistic and have a vision about food, the need to produce it, the future on food production and factors that affect it, including the need of water, climate change, national security, etc.
I recommend this video, I was so impressed with the way that explain this problems that I have it on save in a CD and also keep it on my bookmarks.

Download it because it can be a good reference for the future.

    Make your own judgement, Bob

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Pickles, I blame the Internet, it is not my best medium of communication
I am sure that we meet and chat with a good glass or red and a prime beef meal we would agree in 70% of the poinst and meet half way in the rest
