    Weighbridges etc

With my new Defender, i would like to weigh it,
as a virgin, i.e. factory fresh
tarted up, with various potentially useless accessories
pregnant, loaded up for a two week trip.

This is all largely idle academic interest.

I found the attached list, and while it's probably technically correct, not sure its useful, as most locations do not look public friendly.

So, recommendations for a Brisbane north-side weighbridge, that can give by axle or by corner weights please.

And do most people even bother, or want to know ?

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

You won't get individual wheel weights but you can get axle weights. Sims, in Crockford St Northgate or up the street on the other side is Frogs Scrap Metal.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    weighbridge

I went to my local council tip and they were quite happy to weigh my Jeep total and axles with no charge as I didn't require a print out.

That would be my first place to try. My local tip (Narangba) requires you do drive over and stop on the weighbridge. There's also a great big display telling you how much you weigh while you're on it.

Not sure about how it's done per-axle, but that would be a start.

Just drive on and stop before the rear axle comes on to the weight bridge, than drive further on to weight the whole car, than move the front axle off to get rear axle weight.

I weigh mine regularly......helps when you have a weigh bridge at work.

Not sure you will get per corner weights, but front/rear axle and complete vehicle weight.

The last time I weighed in in touring mode with camper trailer I was under GVM however I was 20kg over on the front axle.

Search for my threads on it, there is at least one maybe two where I have listed my weights.

Nearly everybody guesses but a weigh bridge is the only way to really know
