						Afternoon all,
I have just noticed that my left hand side light has blown. It's a MY12 2.7 still under factory warranty.
Before I approach the dealer, just wondering on peoples thoughts on if it should be claimable under warranty.
As a side note, I also have an ARB bar fitted and have read on the forum that the bar needs to be dropped to replace the light. Would this be for the whole light? Could the bulb be done with needed to touch the bar at all?
Thanks in advance G

Globes are not a warranty item. A couple of dollars from repco and instal yourself following the handbook.
You may or maynot have enough room when the headlight fitting is unclipped to replace the globe with the bar in place.

Yep, As Scouse said, the globe wont be under warranty.
As for having to move the bar, it could well depend on how it was installed.
You MAY have enough room to move the light fitting out enough to get your hand in there to replace the globe.
Otherwise, there are 2 bolts that lock the bar into place. Remove these, then loosen the others, and you can move the bar enough to give you the wiggle room you need.
If you do have to move the bar, I would suggest that you replace both bulbs at the same time, to avoid having to do it in the near future.

						Thanks for that guys!
I now have another job for the weekend!
Is it led? Would an led be covered under warranty ?
LEDs & HIDs should be covered under the 3yr warranty.

Unfortunately not, just the standard Halogen globes.
Just had a quick look. I can get the top 4 clips of the grill off but not the bottom 2 as there is not enough room, so will def have to till the bar forward on the weekend!

Its worth a try to get it as a warranty job at next service. I thought that the battery would be a consumable as well but have it replaced twice under warranty. Maybe just lucky.
Different issue. A battery has a warranty life itself - if it fails inside of its warranty period, it should be replaced. I've also had two batteries replaced under warranty in my D4 - the most recent one only a few weeks ago. I now have two years warranty on the current battery - but the D4 will be out of warranty in December.
Light globes as far as I am aware have no warranty period, especially halogen globes.
Cheers .........
