    Dash Upgrade

My dash is in very poor condition, so has anyone done anything to improve or upgrade there dash?

I like the Raptor Engineering gear but I don't want to cover the CDL, and really the whole dash needs replacing.

Hell, even the old series bare steel dashes look way better.

    Thoughts?

    Holy crap just saw this!

    From here:

Probably a little overkill, and it would likely still cover the CDL and utilise the existing dash.

Why not strip the old vinyl off your dash and recover it?
Or even respay the old vinyl if it isn't cracked or torn?

I am in the process of doing up mine on a FFR and am very pleased with the way it is coming up.
Even the poly foam under the vinyl is not hard to replace and shape. Bit like shaping a surfboard.
After all, what have you got to lose except $40 of new vinyl, some glue and some paint?

Haha when I say the dash is in poor condition, I mean screws are cross threaded and don't hold down any more, the plastic is cracked in most places and I'm generally surprised it's still holding on some how. The vinyl is probably the best part haha!

Thanks for the idea, I will keep this in mind when the vinyl needs refreshing.

    Good luck with your dash

Have a look at the APT Fabrication web site. They have some very nice replacements for plastic bits.

Thanks for that Phil, I see they do have a lot of nice stuff. The only dash stuff I can see is the instrument cluster, binnacle mount and a couple of bezels, which is definitely a good start just need to find a bit more for the centre to passenger side.

    Thanks again!
