Retro Fitting D3 with air suspension

    Hi

Has anyone heard of, or done an air suspension retro fit to a Discovery 3 S model?
    Is it possible?
    Is it economical?
    What are the down sides?

I haven't heard of it being done and just thinking about it I'm guessing it would be a massive job mounting all the air tank running all the lines then changing all the suspension over and getting all the air bag levellers set up the car is so precise if you take a bag of groceries from the rear it levels out again so it would be a massive job i guess!

Sell it and buy one with Air Suspension, it would be the most practical way to achieve the end result you are after.

Awwww guys not the answer I was hoping for.

But the S is so much less expensive. ( I guess that's why)
    Thanks for your input.

    Hi Markk,
Sorry mate I agree with the others, sell your S and the money you would have had to shell out for the conversion spend on getting an SE or an S with the air suspension. I doubt it would ever be as good as originally installed and then if it doesn't work out you have got to sell it.
If you look long enough you'll find an SE at the right price. Going for a pertol would be the cheaper option.

    Hi Markk

No its probably not the answer you're looking for, because its probably never been done. But just thinking about it, the cost would be enormous. Parts and labour would be huge, given you would be buying from LR...and nothing is cheap from them.

I guess the only way to find out would be to give it a go & let us know....but for me, I would think its probably easier and a lot cheaper to purchase one with air suspension already fitted

How much different are the coil mounts compared to the airbag mounts? If its easy to install the actuacal airbags then setting up an aftermarket controller woulD be easy as that stuff has been done before - do you need the LR control system?
