    Steering shudder on sweeping bends

The slight shudder I've been feeling on sweeping bends ~80kmph has gotten noticeably worse over the last week or so. I feel it more when turning left than right, but both are getting bad. Any ideas what causes this, and what I should be looking for?

After doing everything, mine turned out to be a blown front shock. Initially I rebuild the swivels, had the front end aligned and wheels balanced, replaced steering damper, replaced drop arm ball joint, replaced steering UJ's and tightened up the PAS box.

Everything got progressively better as they were slightly worn but it wasn't until I swapped out the front shocks/springs that the problem resolved itself.

    Check the cheap things 1st!

Could this simply be unbalanced wheels?

    Hi,
I think unballanced front tyres would show up more driving straight. Also they start to shake at one end of a speed range, and smooth out at a faster speed quite predictably and it is repeatable.
I don't know what else to suggest though.
    Cheers

    What JC said.

A blown front damper will exhibit this symptom when hitting a bump mid corner, and it doesn't have to be a big bump either, a tiny one will do it.

Panard rod bush (drivers side) and drop arm ball joint might be contributing to the shakes............based on our expert mechanical assessment.
