    That just sucks.

Might pay to keep an eye on other cars at the shopping centre, thou proving anything would be next to impossible.

Maybe ask the centre manager if they have cameras covering the carpark, and if they do, ask them to save the footage, then report it to the police.

I was thinking yesterday that I was surprised this doesn't happen more often... it's just a cotter pin holding it in - if someone's car didn't come with a tow hitch... easy pickings.

Yep, I had one stolen off my work Hilux last year. Couldn't believe it.

Now I only attach it when I need it.

I was just thinking about this in the weekend. As it is only held in by a split pin and how easy it would be to steel. Can we get a more secure pin?
