    new fl2 owner says hi

Hi from a proud new owner of a 08td4hse, well its really for the other half's but I'm happy to drive it

And I thought finding aftermarket gear for my defenders and discos was scarcely.
Yesterday I went to two well known brissy tyre shops and they have to get back to me on an at tyre to suit the 18's
    .
Also if anyone is looking for a proper bullbar for the vehicle I've found j&j bullbars in capalaba build them and have a couple of style and pics on their Web page

So here's to many future hours spent browsing the fl2 section

Welcome to the fold! I'm in a similar situation, ours is mostly the wifes car but I DO like driving it Somewhat more refined than my old classic! Thanks for the heads up about JJs bull bars, I have not seen a bull bar for a FL2 before now. There pics don't give a very good idea of how they look on the car though.

I am on 17" tyres and run the Pirelle Scorpions, seem to be a good all rounder tyre.

I'm on 18's with conti contact uhp (not a great option for tracks /mud) but good for sand and tar. Have you looked at the hankook dynapro. I took a run up duck creek road today -ate it up- its a great vehicle.

Welcome. I'm the same, wife's car that I sometimes drive. It has 17" Bridgestone 694 on it. I hate them, they are noisy. I will replace with on road pattern as the worst it gets is a gravel road, Probably Maxxis as I have these on my FL1 and happy with them.

Re tyres on the Freelander, I find it best to plan ahead, and purchase them on-line. I have 18" rims (and wish I had 17"!) and I've found the best are Pirelli Scorpion Zeros (off-road) - but they are pricey sometimes and hard to get. Their performance on-road is good, on gravel good, on greasy slopes - amazing! - and I can't explain why. Wear is not hugely good, and they get oddly noisy at the rear when at the end of their life. I figure they pay for themselves in braking distance improvement.
