    Possible new tires and rims?

    Hello everyone,

I have been wanting to put new wheels on my Perentie (130 rims with 255/85 Bighorns) since I got it but time and money hasn't allowed for it yet. That is untill I saw this deal on TradeMe..

    LANDROVER 16 X 8 MODULAR RIMS | Trade Me

Originally he had them on for over three grand, and someone asked if they came with a truck haha.

So, is this a good deal? Are these tires any good? I haven't heard of them before and after a quick search nothing relevant in the last few years has been mentioned. Down side is they are only 31"

Are they an improvement over the Olympics?

How about the rims? I'm guessing the Allen key studs are for show and they look to be standard +33 offset.

    Thanks for your input,

    BadCo

I might be wrong, it has been known to happen before, but is it possible to get the 255/85 tyre on a standard 130 rim being 6.5". I didn't think it was legally possible, please correct me if I'm wrong as I have 2 sets of these taking up space in the Garry.

That came up when I was researching for my mud tires and yes, it is possible to do and apparently is fine.

First page or two in this thread

Edit: I think that was actually talking about the 6" Perentie rim, so surely the 6.5" 130 rim would be fine.

No brainier then, throw a set of 255/85's on the rims that are on your truck. Why waist more coin plus you already know the rims look like they belong.
