    BMW X5 Rims?

    Hi all,

I'm thinking about getting some 17 inch rims for my D3: although have some what limited funds at the moment!!

    I have seen a few posts that X5 E53 17 inch rims may fit. I've seen a set for sale off a 2005 model; 17 x 7.5 +40 offset ( I'm pretty sure that's the offset).

Does anyone have experience/advice with these rims?

Do I need to get different wheel nuts?

    Cheers

    Dale.

Still very happy with my 17 inch X5 rims. Worth ringing a few tire places who may have some sitting out the back after the skinny rubber types took them off.

    You do need new nuts

the prices on Gum tree seem very optermisict. I would offer $100 or $150 if they remove the rubber from the rims for you

I have and suggest getting at least 5 as if your putting Off road rubber on and use it as off road your more likely to need a spare or two than the black tar warriors.

I got my 4 x BMW rims for $180 - there were the five spokes that have dual spokes for each spoke and look something like D3 alloys.

Just got 4 for 200 so not too bad.

Now I just need to find another one and order the nuts. Then there's the tyre choice to make!!!!

Thanks for the help and advice.

Nuts to match the wheels to the wheel studs - gives the right number of threads in contact.
