Heater control valve replacement

Hi all after your comments on replacing the heater control valve on my 2010 puma, it appears to have been leaking but not to the extent of it dripping or loosing heaps of coolant. I'm heading bush for a couple of weeks so I've ordered a new one from my local dealer which cost a bomb, any how got it for peace of mind, it looks straight forward to swap one screw and a nut and hose clamps, question would one have to bleed the cooling system or just top it back up after the job is done. Sorry can't answer as I had my local LR Indi replace it for me, but there labour was more than the part cost. I know they did top up coolant.

Best to bleed it as you will get some air in the system when replacing the valve, a simple task, the bleed valve is right next to the heater valve.

Cheers lads, got the part yesterday so plan to replace it at the weekend, now the silly question, I've seen the bleed screw beside the unit, what's the process in bleeding, should I fit it all up then switch on the engine and open the screw and let some coolant flow through?? Thanks again
