What gps did you get OI??
That'll teach me to be absent.
A lot has happened here in four weeks:
Ace has a sprog and 3 gold stars.
Redback appears to have taken the plunge: vale Exploder welcome Disco.
BB has had some bad luck (sympathies on both counts)
I've been south of the border for two weeks (4500km) Eildon, Grampians Kinglake, The Prom et al.
Disco now has a fridge for the beer with a dedicated power feed (I'll post in the tech section).
Bought a GPS and been absorbed in that world.
Good to be back.

The beauty of having a GPS is that you know within metres where you are lost.
Magellan Meridian Gold from Richard Smith Electronics packaged as "GPS Traveller Value Pack" with Mapsend CD (The maps) and vehicle mount and stuff. The Mapsend maps are very good. It is good value at $933.
I had a Magellan Palm GPS previously but that was nicked.
Also bought Oziexplorer mapping software...very good gear as well.
I'm a gadget/gear freak  .
But most Landy owners are
This GPS stuff could occupy a lot of time and forum space.

To tell you the truth it took me a week after getting back to get used to the idea of not seeing places. Bored and wanting to be on/off the road again. Hence the map fetish.
BTW my Disco performed faultlessly and compared to the Company Commodore is my preferred means of travel. Its great to drive. Averaged 10l/100km even with that bloody 30 second Oztent sea anchor on the roof.
No doubt there is a thread here pertaining to your new acquisition. This I will seek out.

There are two types of people in this world, good and bad. The good sleep better, but the bad seem to enjoy the waking hours
Good to have you back OI, hope you can make it to the BBQ next month so we can catch up on all the gossip. Matt
