    Polishing Joy

Just thought I'd share with you my success at polishing out some scratches that have been in the side of the car that were "acquired" just after we got it.

Mixture of bush pin stripes and my partner getting a bit friendly with a pole.

    After

Used Autoglyn resin polish and paint restoration for the deeper ones. Surprised me how much it got out.

    Thumbs up

Very good Parkes! How long did it take you and did you do it by hand or with an orbital polisher?

Is that a pink mobile phone cover?. Nice work and a finish so good you can see your reflection in it.

Did it all by hand, took less time than I would have thought, say that door took about 5 to 10 minutes and it was by far the worst. It was rather hot in the sun so I think that hastened up the drying time quite a bit.

I wouldn't want to use the paint restorer with an orbital as its good for the small targeted spots and gets the scratches out pretty quickly, less than a minute per scratch

Nice job. What colour is your car? I've got some similar pinstripes on mine I want to get rid off. Not sure about using these products on metallic paint (Laguna teal) I think I read somewhere it make metallic paint go dull??

    Cheers

I bought a scratch removal kit from Aldi on the weekend to have a go at the pinstripes on my doors, I'll post the results up here once I have had a chance to try it out.
