Apprently the cause of all my heart ache is still the first mechanic.

Using a dodgie front diff he's also used **** axles that have worn enough to allow the oil to leak through.

The problem is being fixed as we speak.

To add insult to injury the new mechanic has still been purchasing parts of the old one, until yesterday when I found out

Also the front diff the had been replaced is out of a '83 Rangie, mine just happens to be a '93. The confusion as to which one it was is how it took so long to fix.

Cant wait to get my hands on the first guy.

Ahh, all clear to me now!

Yep, you'll need it to 'grease up' the body of that first guy - especially when you try to stuff him into the barrel after you kill him!! 8O

Good to hear your on the track to fixing all this!

    Cheers

I was thinking more along the lines of inserting a front '93 rangie diff into a orafice but in the confusion I may forget to use lubricant

But the barrel idea has merits only problem I can see is howto fit an arsehole with a protruding diff in a barrel.

    Hmmmmmm

I guess I'll have to use an angle grinder! now where will I find a clamp
