Australian 'Postie Bike' Gran Prix 2014.

I took myself off the part of town that has been laid out for the ? first ? postie bike G.P., here are a couple of images of the pit areas etc

this morning I parked my 110 about 1/2 mile from the area as I knew it would be traffic bedlam and it is , anyway good to see hundreds of people around to watch the time trials.
I took a couple of images of some participants making the Honda Postie bike fly LOL this corner is at the end of a 300 meter straight, I had been told that a few had come to grief this morning

and here where the circuit goes into the TAFE grounds

here is a very short clip

the race starts @ 1500hrs I will be back to see the first lap etc, so look in again later, cheers Dennis
ps it is now 33.5c and expected to reach 36+c by about 1500hrs so that corner will be the place to be LOL
hopefully a copy of the circuit

I went back this afternoon for the race, it was hotter than expected 38.2c, the track would have been affected as they are just suburban streets, anyway here is a short clip of the first lap at the corner where I predicted some riders would come to grief

and about 15 laps into the race another rider came to grief

it did cause some concern, but everyone seemed to miss colliding with the downed machine, this rider is Phil Lovett a Cessnock lad who has several records to his credit, and I believe one of the oldest road racing riders in Oz

I don't know how the race ended as I ahd 2 spray guns at home waiting to be cleaned and I also wanted to mow the lawn, yeah in the heat LOL cheers Dennis
