    Fault codes and more work!

    Hi all,

Mum and Dad had just finished a trip from Melbourne to Cape York and back in their 2005 D3 Tdv6. No major issues.

They also had the transmission rebuilt before the trip, and the EGR's blanked off.

Got home and a few days later the car would go into limp mode, throwing up all sorts of fault codes.

Dad would reset them with the Nanocom and all would be good for the rest of the day.

This is what dad recorded for us:

    Temp ~ 10C

Rolling up to lights then accelerating quickly

They have since had the car in to get a new turbo put in. Holy S#!^ $$$$

Now those problems have gone and a whole new bunch of codes are popping up.
The main one that seems to be giving the grief is the ABS control module.

The codes are as follows using X431 Diagnostics:

U0402 Invalid data recieved from transmission control module. (all terrain?)
U0416 Invalid data recieved from vehicle dynamics module. (all terrain?)
U0421 Invalid data recieved from ride level control module. (all terrain?)

U0122 Lost communication with vehicle dynamics control module.(park brake?)

U0122 Lost communication with vehicle dynamics control module.(ride level?)
U0416 Invalid data recieved from vehicle dynamics module. (ride level?)

U0122 Lost communication with vehicle dynamics control module.(transfer case?)

U0122 Lost communication with vehicle dynamics control module. (auto box?)

    C1A00 control module. ABS.

The car has a pulse buster fitted as it is a tow vehicle.
Has a Tekonsha? P3 brake controller that is hooked up to the rear right brake light I am led to believe.

They will replace the brake switch tomorrow and see if that makes a difference.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this car is starting to cost a small fortune.

    Regards
    Will.

How much water did the vehicle go through on the Cape trip? The transfer case control module is in the engine bay so there could be a corroded connection at its connector which includes the high speed canbus. Any interruption to that canbus will cause communication faults for lots of modules.
