    Braking problem 2006 D3

Has anyone experienced this problem on a D3?
95% of the time the brakes work A1, but every now and and then the pedal is very hard but there is no braking retardation. It can happen at very low speeds, normal highway speeds and is very intermitent. This happens when towing or driving normally. No warning indicators showing at anytime when this occurs. Pads and discs replaced 12 months ago and all OK untill recently. Feels like brake booster fails but is only happening intermintently.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oil in booster? Check with landrover that it has had the booster vacuum line recall performed.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

Even if it's had it done, it can happen again...

I checked with Land Rover Aust who said there was no outstanding recalls due.
What should I be looking for in the Vacuum pipe/Brake Booster?

If you disconnect the vacuum pipe at the booster, you can use a cable tie or similar as a 'dipstick' to see if there's oil in there.
