I'm looking at getting my 110 County ready for a couple of big trips and have been looking at what people here have done in the past. With a bit of searching you can find plenty of advice on AULRO, but it is spread out quite a bit and I'm probably missing a fair bit of it. There have been a few complete vehicle builds (in the Members Rides and Projects sections), lots of talk about accessories in the General Chat and the Isuzu and Defender sections, plus a lot of general camping and technical advice in various areas.
A lot of people here like to do long distance touring in Australia and overseas, so it might be handy to have a separate area to discuss expedition preparation, particular expedition destinations, camping tools and techniques and so on. It could be grouped with the section on camper trailers. A section for links to useful blogs and other relevant sites would also be handy.
Obviously this is a question for Dave (Incisor) and the moderators, but I just thought I'd put I out there and see if anyone else thought it might be useful.
Also, if anyone does know of a good website about expedition prep, particularly for Land Rovers, please post a link.
Cheers, Dave.

Dave S., I started long time ago a thread "Ideas for your Expedition Defender"
Ideas for your Expedition Defender
Have a look there and if you have a suggestion or example your contribution is very welcome![]()
Does this mean you are finally coming to visit?![]()
It does indeed cover a lot of it, but it is buried away as a sub forum and could probably be split out into its own area, with some separate headings for things like destinations and routes, vehicle prep, camper trailers, camping in general and other expedition related topics.
I think putting everything in one area would be helpful, as there are so many ways to skin this particular cat.
Hi Ben! Mate we would love to, but it looks like our Canadian friends won't be able to make it, so we are thinking of heading up the Cape next year. Either that or going back to Cuba with the bikes and riding down to Guantanamo (that's a topic for a whole different forum).
