New BFG AT KO2 265/65/R18 LT

Just saw these on unsealed 4x4, they look really nice. According to their US website they will be released in April next year in 265/65/18 in LT.

Looked at Gordon's site and he lists a previous BFG in this size and doesn't mention any issues.

Would these fit without any mods require or rubbing?

    It should fit but!

Its 801.7 mm in diameter, the 285/60 R18 LTZ is 799.2mm and it rubs on that seam in the front of the rear wheel arch on full compression. Not by much but it will wear a hole through the inner arch liner.

Easy enough to fold over that seam, except if you have rear AC as the coolant lines are next to the drivers side seam.

The tyre will possibly fit in the spare wheel well but it would need to be flat to squeeze in!

More sizes to come, eventually total of 61 apparently.Only 12 sizes released in phase one.

So something more suitable may appear.

No mention of any noise reduction,so i presume they will be as noisy or more noisy than the KO.

None in my size either yet.

BF Goodrich have stated on road noise levels of the KO2's have been reduced and this reviewer seemed happy to state the noise was minimal. We won't really know until some independent private reviews start rolling in. I'll watch from afar with a keen interest as I was considering the KO's.

BF Goodrich KO2 is one tough all-terrain tire - The Globe and Mail

"It’s all part of the redesign of KO2 off-road tires, which have stronger sidewalls, increased tread life, decreased noise on the highway, and better traction in mud and snow...

...or pavement, which is where most drivers spend the majority of their time. Some off-road rubber is absolutely deafening on the highway, but during a two-hour drive along the TransCanada Highway from Lake Louise to Field, B.C., road noise was minimal."

LT265/65R18 122/119R available from 15th April 2015 and there could be more suitable sizes to follow later in the year after they ramp up production.

Wonder if they'll release one that fits 19" ... doubt it ... but I can dream ... having seen the abuse the old ones can take first hand on many occasions .... I'd buy a set !

Given that I have just bought a set of Pirelli Scorpions 255/55 19, they probably will release some 19's!!

It wouldn't be that bad, you could flip your old ones on eBay !

Here's hoping Murphy works out for you so we all benefit ... haha ... and it looks like new sizes won't be here for a while anyway !

I have 5 x current style ATs almost new I'd be willing to part with.
Sold my my11 with 18s thinking I would get a set of GOE rims for the my14.
Short story is i staked a tyre and had to get a new tyre quick so decided to stick with the 19s and managed to secure a set of wrangler duratracks.

I had no issues with rubbing but they take the speedo from reading a little fast to reading a little slow, my estimate was 6kph drop
