Too Good To Be True Or?

I have been doing the rounds looking for my next Land Rover and found this ad for a 2005 05MY Defender with 92K for $15,800.


I found it too good to be true, seller doesn't want phone contact and gives the VIN, as does an ad for a later model 90 at under $17K that seems to have been removed. My research on Carsales.com.au found two similar vehicles, a 2005 03MY with 93K for $31,500 and a 2006 Extreme with 165K for $25,800. Could this be simply the bargain of the century, or...? Your thoughts?

Or he might just want to sell it very very quickly?

Make a contact and do an inspection asap.

I think this is the original ad 2005 Land Rover Defender 03MY (Same photos and rego) the carguide one has 'cloned'

That's the one! I knew I had seen it somewhere else. I might let the seller know. It has to be bodgy but is it Carsguide poaching/cloning ads to boost their offerings or has someone else nicked it and is going to 'sell' it by getting money up front? The clone ad offers free delivery Australia wide, sounds too good to be, oh, I've used that line already.

A 2006 Extreme? No such thing as far as I know. Although the later ones (and I have a 2006) had TC, ABS and electric windows, they were never badged Extreme.
