    430-horsepower Defender

    A 430-horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission in a Defender !!!!!
And away goes the relaxed driving.

    Why?

Sounds like an expensive and dumb way to die.

I totally agree with you AnD3rew. An even more powerful insane 520hp defender has also been built.

Yep I would rather put a 3litre diesel in a Defender.

If I want a sports car I want it to look like a sports car.

That would be an awesome vehicle. Plenty of power & torque, for any situation. I'd love it. Awesome for cruising in the big Aussie open spaces.
Like any vehicle with a bit of grunt, Ya've just gotta respect it.
    I'd love it, Pickles.

Another Defender who will end up in a derelict state in 10years somewhere in a industrial parking.
It makes sense for comps but for everyday road a good Rover v8 will give you the same buzz. m

Done that over 6 years ago. That car had a 3.5 to start then 4.5JE, followed by a 5.2JE and 2007onwards a LS Gen4. Hence my comment about comparing.m
