I knew why I liked Melbourne.
Why get pelted with Tennis ball hail storms, have floods, massive electrical storms, high winds that wash beaches away and have purple bat poop bombed on your car

Hmmm, still beats living in Melbourne.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

It is very rare for Melbourne to get hail that will damage a car.

The only damage it does around here is the fruit.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Not short memory, usually anything bad is classed as once in a hundred years, QLD it's a regular occurance
It's all to do with the weather system, QLD is subjected to tropical lows, this causes extreme weather patterns. We rarely get Golf ball or tennis ball size hail. The rain is like a monsoon or Cyclonic.
