    Cooper AT3 now in 265/60/18

    Per Unsealed 4x4.

I know Cooper divides people but good to see some more options.

I thought that was the new ST Maxx size. I bought my car in March and it had and has AT3s in 265/60R18. Perhaps they have released them in LT?

Maybe you are right. They are not LT on the Cooper site but maybe it hasn't been updated.

The unsealed article said new sizes in AT3 and ST Maxx, but then listed the AT3 new sizes, may have been a typo.

On the Cooper site there is no listing for 265/60/18 for ST Maxx, but then their site says the appropriate tyre size for my A D3 is 235/65/18 so clearly not a reliable source of info.

I have 265/60 x 18" AT3's on the D3, done about 40k's and are nearly worn out. The first 30k's they did't look like they were wearing hardly at all but in the last 10k the rubber just seams to have dissappeared. ...

I should get another 5k out of them, they were great when new but I'm less convinced now so will be replacing them with something else.
    Cheers,
    Terry

The AT3 is only a P-Metric not a LT tyre in that size ...... a pretty cool new product out there is the 265/65R18 Dick Cepek Trail Country. Its load range "E" 10PR LT. No help to me though with my 19's so Ill stick with my LTZ's for now...

What pressures do you run them on Terry? Mine are at about the 30k mark so I will keep an eye on their wear rate. I run mine at 40psi for blacktop. The Tyrepower in Canberra reckoned I should be running them at 35psi, which seems ridiculous. I tried it at 35 for a bit but I reckon that contributed to the cracking I got on one of them. What will you go with next?

Top result when googling "cooper ST delamination" gives context, and my experience is shown in most of the top row on google images for the same search criteria.

I think it was a set of Michelins that had 2 different compound layers but IIRC their outer layer was softer for grip and the underlayer harder for a longer (but less grippy) life.
